*DUCHY OF SHINDRASTIN *

Shindrastin would be directly connected to the Duchy of Morovia were it not for the river that ran between them. This fact, however, does not bother the people of Shindrastin in any way, shape or form. To them, the River of Thorns was a gift from the gods to keep the creatures that were rumored to live within the borders of Morovia away from them.

The city of Korbart rests within this duchy, nestled in the northern woodlands of Sharnyl, serving as the chief city and home of its lord. It lies directly north of Syrillon, roughly a three-day journey by horse. Korbart is the final stop before venturing into the Northlands, where the road to the Barren North begins. Sir Korbartan Blade III is in his twenty-second year of his reign as ruler of this forest city.

Castle Zhareel lies just outside of town, set in the Northlands. It was here that Klarian Silversword started the Knights of the North, a group of men that banded together to serve the king no matter what the cost. Many gave their lives in the year 237. Klarian himself was killed that year in the Great War. His son, Levander, returned to the land, having been shipped off to live with the wizard Zhareel, whom the castle was named after. Levander followed in his father’s footsteps, having been graced with paladinhood.
